TerraPoint Environmental Consulting is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We work continually to improve the accessibility and usability of this website.
Standard we target
This site is built to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard is our benchmark for new pages and for changes to existing ones.
What we have done
- Contrast. Text and background color pairs are checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratio rather than judged by eye.
- Semantic structure. Pages use real headings in order, landmark regions, and lists, so screen readers and other assistive technology can navigate the content properly.
- Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
- Text alternatives. Images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Responsive layout. Pages reflow without horizontal scrolling down to small screen widths, and text scales with browser zoom.
- No motion traps. The site contains no autoplaying media, carousels, or flashing content.
Known limitations
We would rather name the gaps than imply there are none.
- On screens narrower than about 900 pixels, the navigation bar collapses to the logo and the contact button. Section links remain reachable from within each page, but there is currently no expandable mobile menu. A fix is planned.
- Some documents linked from this site, such as agency forms produced by third parties, may not meet the same accessibility standard. If you need the content of any linked document in an accessible format, contact us and we will provide it.
